“Kitchener can write a brilliant comedy sketch and he scatters them generously. Clearly, he’s a playwright to watch.” – The Times
Unrequited love, bitter break-ups, loud sex, the afterlife, dressage and accidental murder are all covered in Shaun Kitchener’s Six Pack, a relentlessly entertaining collection of short plays by a BAFTA Rocliffe prize-winner, who performs alongside a stellar cast of young talent from the Offie-nominated West Avenue theatre company.
As wires are crossed, secrets are revealed and a groom-to-be meets a pastry-covered demise, the six bite-size pieces – developed after initially being performed at West Avenue’s own Briefs nights – are sure to keep audiences smiling long after the final curtain (there isn’t technically a curtain per se, but you get the jist).
Rob Ellis directs a company including Kitchener himself alongside Jamie-Rose Monk, Natalie Lester, Roberta Morris, Christopher Cohen and Marc Gee-Finch; with performances slated for Thursday 9th, Friday 10th and Saturday 11th February at the Leicester Square Theatre; one of London’s most prestigious comedy venues.
Tickets are on sale right now from the theatre box office (showtime 7:15pm, age restriction 14+, run time approx. 70 mins).
