Christmas Farce is returning to the London stage this winter; bigger, better and more ludicrous than ever before.
The comedy debuted at the Rosemary Branch Theatre for a sell-out four-show run in 2015, and now will play for three weeks at the Waterloo East Theatre – from November 28 to December 17.
Set backstage at a regional theatre, Christmas Farce joins a hapless cast of egotistical actors on the opening night of a modern retelling of the Nativity.
As personalities clash and various tensions come to a head, the company have to pull together to stop the production on-stage becoming a nationwide laughing stock and leaving all of their careers in tatters.
The play received acclaim upon its debut, with ★★★★★ from LondonTheatre1 and ★★★★ from Ginger Wig & Strolling Man.
Now, much of the original cast returns, with four new faces joining the line-up.
Reprising their roles are Katherine Edrupt (Georgie), Timothy George (Jonathan), Natalie Lester (Alice) and Jamie-Rose Monk (Stacey).
Joining the madness for 2017 are Alan Bradley (Samuel), Samuel Buttery (Danny), Marc Gee-Finch (Makenzie) and Emma Tansley (Beatrice).
Stephen Davies, who worked with West Avenue as 5, 6, 7, 8‘s choreographer over the summer, joins as director, with playwright Shaun Kitchener producing.
Tickets for Christmas Farce are on sale now – with the first three shows (November 28-30) costing just £10 for all tickets.
