Steps musical 5, 6, 7, 8 reveals cast – and is named fastest-selling show of Camden Fringe 2017

West Avenue has today announced the cast of upcoming Steps musical 5, 6, 7, 8.

The brand new production – which will play at north London’s Upstairs At The Gatehouse for six nights only this August – unites a wealth of new talent.

Playing principle roles are AMBER MULDOON, ROBERTA MORRIS, MIMI EDWARDS and CHRISTOPHER COHEN.

Supporting and featured roles are filled by CALUM ROY, GEORGE LESTER, NATALIE LESTER, SOPHIE MACKENZIE, SHALANA SERAFINA and ROB ELLIS.

Shaun Kitchener has written the show and will also direct, with choreography from Stephen Davies and music supervision from Sophie Colchester.

Kitchener said: “About half of this cast I’ve worked with before, the other half not. This show is a really fun comedy that  doesn’t take itself too seriously – it needs performers with strong comedic instincts, and great voices. This lot tick both boxes.”

It has also been revealed that 5, 6, 7, 8 is the fastest-seller of the Camden Fringe Festival 2017 thus far, out of a roster of 270+ shows. Tickets are on sale now HERE.

Festival bosses confirmed via Twitter: “Best selling show of the Camden Fringe so far is @WestAvenueTC’s 5, 6, 7, 8 – A Steps Musical! Not a TRAGEDY!”This latest news for 5, 6, 7, 8 comes two weeks after West Avenue’s latest original play All That achieved universal acclaim upon its debut.

Also written by Kitchener and starring Morris and Cohen, it focused on monogamy and open relationships among gay couples, receiving ★★★★ verdicts from Attitude, Boyz, West End Wilma and The Gizzle Review.

5, 6, 7, 8 tickets are all £12. The show takes place from August 14-19, 2017, with start times alternating between 7:30 and 9:15 night-by-night (running time 1hr).

All profits will go to Mencap, of which Lisa Scott-Lee is a patron.
